CARLETON PLACE, Ont. – Cameron Patton has enjoyed a solid start to the new Central Canada Hockey League season.

The 19-year-old from Bible Hill is averaging almost a point-per-game with six goals and 11 assists in 18 games for the junior A Carleton Place Canadians, who sit first overall in the 12-team league with a record of 15-3.

The six-foot, 186-pound centre leads the Canadians in power-play goals this season with five. He had a goal and an assist in his team’s most recent win – a 7-0 victory over the Pembroke Lumber Kings on Oct. 14.

Patton was recruited by Carleton Place after playing two seasons of midget hockey for Newbridge Academy, a Dartmouth-based private school. In 2017-18, he played for the Canadians junior B team before joining the junior A squad last season. He scored 13 goals and added 12 assists in 55 games as a rookie.
