TRURO, N.S. – The Truro Leon’s Peewee AA Bearcats won their first two games of the season over the Antigonish Bulldogs by scores of 5-0 and 7-2.
In Game 1, Chase MacDonald, Dan MacLean, Dylan Atwater, William Hazelton and Brodie Ellis scored Truro goals, while Hazelton, Lucy Fulmore, Brooke Williams and Gavin Harrison had assists. Fintan Boudreau earned the shutout.
In the other contest, Williams fired a pair of goals for the Bearcats, while Ellis, Landon MacKenzie, Logan Decker, Spencer Dowe and RJay Toney potted other markers. Assists went to Hazelton, Williams, Dowe, Toney, MacLean and Matthew Merryweather. Sam Oxner picked up the win in nets.
