TRURO, N.S. – The Fundy Highland Bantam AA Selects hockey team recorded a win and tie last weekend in provincial AA league play.

Saturday, the Selects blanked the Valley Wild 3-0. Olivia Fitt, Julia MacDonald and Ava Genoe were the scorers. Assists were provided by Josie Dunn, Jaylen Langille, Bree MacPherson, Ellie Clarke and Sarah Fraser. Gabby Arsenault posted the shutout.

In a battle for first place Sunday, the Selects and Metro West Force White skated to a 1-1 draw. Maddie Beson scored the lone goal on an assist from Fitt.

Metro West Force White leads the Selects by one point in standings. Metro West Force has two games remaining and the Selects one. The Selects’ record now stands at 18-3-2 for the season.
