BROOKFIELD, N.S. – The Liverpool Privateers peppered Brookfield Elks goaltender Ashton Speight with 50 shots and rolled to an 8-3 victory over their hosts in a Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League game on Tuesday.
The Privateers led 5-2 after the first period and 7-3 after 40 minutes.
Jakob Deveau, Alexander Lavoie and Connor Miller scored goals for the Elks. Connor Barnhill, Riley Merry and Noah Naugler each had three points for the Privateers.
The Elks (1-26-2-1) have just two games remaining. On Friday, they visit the East Hants Penguins, before a Tuesday home game against the Sackville Blazers, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the sportsplex.
