TRURO – Truro Leon’s Peewee AA Bearcats battled first-place Yarmouth Mariners in a pair of Nova Scotia Mainland Peewee AA League games this past weekend.
The first game saw the Bearcats come up short by the score of 4-1, though the score was not indicative of the number of chances the Bearcats had in the game.
Aiden Gloade scored for the Bearcats with netminder Colby Brown facing 36 shots in the contest.
In the second game, William Hazelton and Evan Shay scored for the Bearcats as the contest ended in a 2-2 tie. Assists went to Gloade with two, while single assists went to Ryan Tam and Spencer Dowe.
Dom Moores was strong in the Bearcats’ net turning aside 29 shots.
