TRURO, N.S. – Fundy Thunder look to atone for a loss last weekend to Voyageurs HC when the teams meet again on Friday in Truro in Nova Scotia Minor Midget AAA Hockey League action.

Puck drop at Colchester Legion Stadium is 8 p.m.

The Thunder lost 6-3 to the Voyageurs last Sunday at the Sherwater Arena. Fundy led that contest 3-2 in the second period, before the host team scored four unanswered goals to come away with victory. Brandon Forbes, Jayden Matheson and Mitchell King all scored power-play goals for the Thunder and Cole Sellers had two assists. Goaltender Thomas Gariepey faced 31 shots.

The game wrapped up a busy opening weekend for the Thunder, who lost 4-3 to the Basin Armada on Saturday and defeated Cape Breton Highlanders 3-2 on Friday.

Against the Armada, Philip Ballard, Ty Beed and Mason Wood scored for Fundy and goaltender DJ Oderkirk made 20 saves. In their opener against the Highlanders, the Thunder scored a pair of early goals in third period for the win. Andyn Furmidge made it 2-1 for Fundy just 30 seconds into the final frame, while Ty Hunter potted the eventual winner 48 seconds later. Noah Harrison, on the power play, also scored for the winners and Gariepey was strong between the pipes and made 27 saves.
