TRURO, N.S. – The Truro Bearcats pounded the Sackville Flyers 8-1 and earned a 3-3 draw with Halifax Chebucto in recent midget AA hockey action.

Daniel Sampson led the Bearcats during the two-game set with three goals, while Blake Terry added a pair and Sam Stoddard, Daniel Mackenize, Mackenize Archibald, Nick Levangie, Ewan MacKinnon and Christian Gloade added single markers.

Assists went to Stoddard (3) and Jonathan Macmillan, with three each, Terry, MacKenzie and Gloade, each with a pair, and singles to Jack Beselt and Adam MacKinnon.

Andrew Juliusson earned the win over the Flyers, while Levi Clements played between the pipes against Halifax Chebucto.
