TRURO, N.S. – The Colchester Wilson’s Home Heating Atom A Cyclones hockey team won two of three games last weekend to gain a share of first place in North Conference.
On Saturday, the Cyclones doubled the Pictou Subway Selects 4-2. Hannah Jordan led the way with two goals, while single markers went to Kori Griffon and Jessica Porter. Brooklyn Bagnell Lauther added two assists and Amy Field was the winning goaltender.
Sunday, the Cyclones split a pair of games with Antigonish Bulldogs. The Bulldogs took the first game 4-1. Bagnell Lauther scored the lone goal with Lucy Evans picking up the assist.
The Cyclones took Game 2 with a 3-0 win. Jordan led the way with a goal and assist, while Bagnell Lauther and Porter added singles and Field supplied the shutout.
The Cyclones (8-1-0) and Bulldogs (7-1-2) are tied at the top of the standings.
