NEW GLASGOW, N.S. – The Truro Bearcats lost 4-1 to the rival Pictou County Crushers on Thursday, Nov. 22 in the Maritime Junior Hockey League.
It was the second straight loss for the Bearcats, who were blanked 3-0 by the Yarmouth Mariners on Nov. 16.
Kevin Mason scored a pair of goals for the Crushers on Thursday in his season debut with the club. Mason started the season with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec major junior league.
Aleck Forcier and Barrett Dachyshyn had other Pictou County goals, while Gavin Hart had the lone marker for the Bearcats.
Truro goaltender Myles Hektor made 27 saves, while his teammates fired 29 shots at Crushers goaltender Alex MacLeod.
Attendance at the Pictou County Wellness Centre was 556.
The Bearcats next action is Saturday, Nov. 24 at Edmundston, before a Sunday, Nov. 25 game at Grand Falls.
