TRURO - The Cobequid Cougars will be holding their 12th annual volleyball camp this summer.
The camp will be held Aug. 24 to 27 and is open to boys and girls in Grades 3-9 this school year.
The camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and focuses on skills, positional play and offensive and defensive systems.
The camp will be instructed by Cougars girls coach Bob Piers, NSAC Rams women's coach Paul Settle, Eric Storr and Ecole acadienne de Truro coach Tony Hill.
The cost is $90 per camper, with family rates of $130 for two and $160 for three. Those interested are asked to register by July 10. Registration forms are available from Piers at 78 Park St., Truro or at 897-1997.
Piers is a 10-time provincial champion with the Cougars girls squad and also coached the Hub Club juveniles to three Volleyball Nova Scotia crowns.
Settle has coached the Central Nova and Hub Club teams to several titles before becoming the Rams' women's coach two years ago.
Storr has also helped local club teams to provincial titles and has been involved with the camp for the past five years, while Hill guided the Ecole acadienne squad to a district title in 2008.
