TRURO, N.S. – The Cobequid Cougars topped the Lockview Dragons 16-11 in recent Nova Scotia high school football action in Dartmouth.
Th Dragons led 8-7 at halftime.
Torro Gabrielli had 11 carries for 29 yards and scored a touchdown, while quarterback Michael Adams carried the ball four times, gained 37 yards and scored a major. Adams also kicked two coverts. Receiver Charles Toole hauled in three catches for 39 yards.
On defense, Jordan Waller had 11 tackles and one forced fumble, while Will Sylliboy added five tackles. Defensive end Ivan Gault had four tackles, one sack and one forced fumble and Connor Richardson added a pair of tackles and a forced fumble. Kaleb Johnstone also had a pick.
The Cougars next action is Sunday, Oct. 28 when they host the Horton Griffins for a 1 p.m. kickoff at James MacPherson Stadium.
