Cougars look to rebound against Titans

TRURO, N.S. – The Cobequid Cougars eye a return to the win column this weekend when they host the Northeast Kings Titans in Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation Football League action.
The teams will square off at James MacPherson Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 6 for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
The Cougars enter the tilt after suffering their first loss of the season last week – a 19-15 setback at the hands of the Sir John A Macdonald Flames in their home opener.
CEC quarterback Craig Tabor was 9-of-15 passing for 148 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Owen Sellers had four receptions for 84 yards and scored one TD, while Braden Gray had a 25-yard reception for a major and Nick Lemon made seven catches for 80 yards.
Ivan Gault led the defence with five tackles and one-and-a-half sacks, while Isaac Fraser and Avery MacPhee also had five tackles apiece and Torro Gabrielli and Breton Phillips chipped in four each.
On special teams, Kaleb Johnstone added two TD converts and a single point on a rouge.
The Flames led 13-7 at halftime.
