Ellie Black will compete in yet another Pan American Games next month.
The Halifax gymnast was named to the Canadian team that will compete at the upcoming event in Lima, Peru.
“I am so excited to be part of this team and to represent Canada at the 2019 Pan American Games in Peru this summer,” Black said in a news release.
“I had the most amazing experience at Toronto 2015 so I cannot wait to make Canada proud with this team. It will be a great stepping stone as we use this to prepare for world championships later this year and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games next summer.”
Black won five medals at the 2015 Games, including gold in the all-around, beam and floor.
Fall River’s David Kikuchi will also be back for Team Canada as a coach.
The artistic gymnastics competition will take place from July 27 to 31.
