Cougars hit the road for game against Dragons

TRURO, N.S. – The Cobequid Cougars return to action on the gridiron this weekend.

The Cougars (4-2) visit the Lockview Dragons (2-4) on Sunday for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

CEC enters the game after an 8-7 win over the Sydney Wildcats last Sunday at James MacPherson Stadium in Truro.

In that matchup, CEC quarterback Michael Adams completed 10 of 22 passes for 121 yards and two interceptions. He also gained 34 yards on six carries and booted field goals of 26 and 23 yards.

Running back Torro Gabrielli carried the ball 19 times for 102 yards.

Sydney Academy gave up a safety in the fourth quarter.

On defense, Will Sylliboy led the way with six tackles, while Jordan Waller added five. Isaac Fraser chipped in two tackles and a fumble recovery and Kaleb Johnstone had an interception.
