With spring weather finally here, and summer fast approaching, the Cougar Dome is gearing up for its lessons and camps.
After one final cycle of lessons inside, the June session will be moving outdoors to the Truro Tennis Club.
The Cougar Dome will continue its popular tennis programs, including for any child three years and up, adult beginner, intermediate, and advanced, as well as specialized programs such as its popular 50-plus program. Cougar Dome head pro, and recent new Nova Scotia resident, Sebastien Khoury will be leading the lessons, and is excited for his first summer in Truro.
“I’m very excited to get out and coach in Victoria Park,” said Khoury. “The location is beautiful, and definitely one of the most attractive features of Truro.
“One of the strongest aspects of the Dome is our ability to cater to all ages and skill levels” said marketing manager Stephen Mallov. “Some people may think you need to be experienced, or that tennis can only be learned when you’re young, but in fact the opposite is true; it’s never too late to take up a sport.”
In that vein, the Cougar Dome and Truro Tennis Club will be running “Try Tennis” sessions throughout the summer, in hopes of attracting new people to the sport.
Additionally, they will continue to offer their very popular multisport summer camp programs for those aged 5 to 12 to be held at the Cougar Dome. The camps feature a wide variety of different sports and activities, including crafts, sports, swimming, and more.
These camps will begin the week of July 2, and anyone interested in more information about them, or about tennis lessons, can reach the Cougar Dome at 902-843-4171, or by email at [email protected].
