TRURO, N.S. – CEC soccer teams will host Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation quarter-final matches on Saturday.

The girls team will hit the pitch for an 11 a.m. game against either C.P. Allen or Parkview, who meet on Friday for the right to face the Cougars.

CEC won the Northumberland regional banner last week after a 2-0 victory over Dr. J.H. Gillis Royals.

On the boys side, the Cougars will host either Auburn or Parkview at 1 p.m.

CEC repeated as Northumberland region champs last weekend after edging Dr. J.H. Gillis 2-1 in the final. Mason Earl scored in the 70th minute for the Cougars, while Gabe Tremblay broke through and slotted home the winner with five minutes remaining.
