Brookfield, Stewiacke golf clubs set for Shaw Cup battle

BROOKFIELD, N.S. – Brookfield Golf Club will host the 21st edition of the Shaw Cup match play competition this weekend.
The annual event is an inter-club competition between players from Brookfield and Fox Hollow Golf Club in Stewiacke.
Twelve players from each club have qualified through their club championships for the Shaw Cup. They will face off in match play, which includes six 4-Ball matches Saturday morning, six alternate shot matches that afternoon and 12 singles games on Sunday.
Brookfield won last year’s event at Fox Hollow, 15-9, and holds a narrow 10-9-1 edge after 20 years of play.
