Turner leads Tide over Yankees

TRURO, N.S. – Cole Turner went 2-for-2 and scored a run to lead a 10-hit attack as Masstown Hardware Tide downed the Yankees 9-4 in the peewee/bantam division of the Bible Hill-Truro Minor Baseball Association.

Masstown pitchers allowed just six hits in the contest. Zach MacNutt led the Yankees with three hits and two runs scored.

In other action, Dylan Sloan and Paige Fox each stroked two singles as the Blue Jays topped the Red Sox 12-9.

Tristan Albert doubled for the Red Sox and Brayden Leadbetter singled.

Blue Jays pitchers were Will Bowers, Isaac Crowe, Jake McDonald and Gage Pratt. Noah Pettis, Leadbetter, Logan MacKinnon and Mike Berry 

Saw mound duty for the Red Sox.
