Truro led the best-of-five series 2-0 heading into last night’s action and a win clinches them a berth in the league final. A Game 4, if necessary, had been scheduled for Truro this evening but will be rescheduled as required.

In Kentville Wednesday night, Game 3 of the series was suspended due to rain. It will resume tonight in the top of the third inning with the Bearcats up 2-1, back in Kentville.

Jeff Chisholm belted a two-run homer in the first inning to put the Bearcats up.

Bearcats’ ace John Chapman was on the mound while the Wildcats countered with Alex Ostrov, in a rematch of Game 1 starters.

Sydney Sooners and Dartmouth Moosehead Dry resume their series on Saturday in Sydney at 3:30 p.m. with the Dry leading that series 2-0.
