The Wildcats came through to take the pennant, with a 6-3 victory over Sydney Saturday.

The Sooners and Wildcats had matching records (17-11) but Kentville gets the nod after winning five of seven between the teams.

Dartmouth Moosehead Dry (16-12) finish third, but would have been second had the Wildcats lost, since they beat Kentville in four of seven meetings during the regular season.

Truro Bearcats (11-17) captured the fourth and final playoff spot, while Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians (9-19) were eliminated.

In the league semifinals, the Bearcats will take on first-place Kentville, while the Sooners and Dry square off in the other series, with the Sooners holding home field advantage.

The Bearcats took three wins from the Wildcats in seven meetings during the regular season.

Both series are best-of-five affairs, and the schedules have yet to be determined.
