Moosehead Dry thump Bearcats in senior baseball

DARTMOUTH – The Dartmouth Moosehead Dry scored eight runs in the second inning and went on to crush the Truro Bearcats 19-1 on Thursday in the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League.

It was the fifth straight loss for the Bearcats to start the season. Truro hosted the Halifax Pelham Canadians last night (visit trurodaily.com for result).

Dartmouth had 13 hits in the game that was called after seven innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.

Chris Head homered and drove in two runs for the Moosehead Dry, while Billy Hartley had two singles and three RBI. Darson Murphy, Justin Morton, Jeff Chisholm and John Chapman singled for the Bearcats.
