Fundy Textiles captures Bible Hill-Truro mosquito baseball crown

TRURO, N.S. – Fundy Textiles won a thrilling game in front of a large crowd to capture the mosquito division title in the Bible Hill-Truro Minor Baseball Association.

Fundy edged Embracor Medical 8-7 this week in the deciding game in the best-of-three series at Victoria Park.

The winners received strong pitching the entire series from Austin Brown, Griffin Scott and Dylan Atwater.

Scott and Atwater were stellar on the mound in the championship game, while key offensive contributions came from Logan Quinn, Jack Michaud, Scott, Atwater and Ben Poehl.

For Embracor, Matthew Scullion and Madeline Brown took the hill in the final and provided strong pitching.

At the plate, Matthew and Savanna Scullion, Cadin Skinner, Tyler Paris, Logan Dickie and Tyler Murray contributed to the offence.
