Fox, Curren pace Blue Jays to victory

TRURO, N.S. – Paige Fox singled and doubled and Steve Curren ripped a pair of singles as the Blue Jays got past the Mets 11-7 in the peewee/bantam division of the Bible Hill-Truro Minor Baseball Association.

Matthew Rector and Logan Roop made great defensive plays for the Blue Jays, and Will Bowers, Isaac Crowe and Gage Pratt pitched for the winners.

Jase Langille singled twice for the Mets and Sara McDonah added a hit.

Quinn Hayden, Dawson Bird and Brooke Thompson shared pitching duties for the Mets.

In other action, the Pirates and Yankees tied 12-12.

William Nelson, Dom Moore and Liam Swan pitche for the Pirates, while Mason Trask, Luke Taylor, Keegan Skinner and Nate Davison saw mound duty for the Yankees.

Swan singled, doubled and drove in three runs for the Pirates, while Tristan Gloade singled, doubled, scored two runs and had two RBI. Moore added a pair of hits and an RBI.

Callum McClellan had an inside-the-park home run and two singles for the Yankees, while Zach McNutt and Ben Fiddes each had two hits and Blake Gouthro, Sam Walker, Davison, Taylor, Trask, and Robert Holmes had one each.
