Whatever happened to the ice age? When today's seniors went to school, we were taught about it — that a large chunk of North America was covered in ice. This ice was retreating to the north a little every year. I am sure that a lot of climate change people should be well-versed on this subject, or maybe we should bring back some of our old education system.
I am not an ancient person, but in my short life so far, I have seen islands and points of land disappear in the Bras d'Or lakes. Canada cannot fight climate change, nor can any of its municipalities. They may have picked this topic because they know it cannot be resolved by Canadians. It gives something to talk about instead of discussing some of the real problems of the world that possibly something could be done about. Because climate change is not an emergency and it is also nothing new.
