Blair, Rita Corinne, 86, Valley, Col. Co., passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at home. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Napoleon and Emma (Richard) Legere. Reta worked for many years at Stanfield’s Ltd., Truro. Family was very important to mom, and especially her great-grandchildren. She is survived by daughters, Cathy (Bob) Lake, Bonnie (Vince) Robin; son, Ron (Karen) Hoeg; grandchildren, Travis (Sarah) Naugle, Josh (Kristine) Naugle, Jamie Hoeg, Danny (Susan) Scott, Michael (Kaitlyn) Hoeg, Tanya Hoeg (Luke), Justin (Chelsea) Hoeg, Danielle (Mark) Smith, Marsha (George) Mason, Adam Ferguson; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Callejays; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Garnet Blair; sons, David, Charlie, Gary; grandson Trevor Ferguson; brothers and sisters. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. No visitation or funeral service by family request. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the IWK Hospital for Sick Children, Halifax.
