Raymond Kenneth Ettinger

ETTINGER, Raymond Kenneth – 85, Truro, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, April 13, 2018, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, he was the son of the late Chester and Gertrude (Jacobs) Ettinger. Raymond worked as a mechanic with Blaikies and then with Al Roland Electric from where he retired. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing and also enjoyed painting. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ada Florence (Fenton); children, Michael (Jackie) Ettinger, Greenfield; Kathy (Terry) Crowell, Harmony; grandchildren, Corey Crowell, Dartmouth; Emily Crowell, Montreal, Quebec; sister, Marlene Weatherby, Harmony; several nieces and nephews. Honouring Raymond’s wishes, a private family interment will be held in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley, at a later date. If so desired, donations in Raymond’s memory to Colchester East Hants Health Centre are welcomed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
