Nora Kathleen (Edwards) Mingo

Mingo, Nora Kathleen (Edwards), 62, Bible Hill, Col. Co., passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, surrounded by her loving family. Born July 4, 1956 in Truro, NS, she was the youngest child of the late Stanley A. and Marie V. (Davis) Edwards. Nora worked for MT&T until the birth of her only child Bryan and then became a stay-at-home mom to raise him. She is survived by her loving companion of 24 years James H. Lynk; son Bryan (Jessica) of Truro; grandchildren, Kassie and Lucas of Truro, Raine of NWT; brothers, Paul Edwards (Carolyn) of Halifax, David Edwards (Late Judy) of Truro; sister Mary E. Lynds (John) of Brookside; step-daughter Deb MacLean (Skip) of Hilden; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Eugene Mingo; sister-in-law Judy Edwards; step-daughter Jeannie White; several aunts and uncles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. As per Nora’s wishes, a family only graveside service will take place at a later date in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Truro. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Kidney Foundation, or to a charity of choice. The family wishes to thank the staff of the ICU unit of the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, for their excellent care of Nora during her short time there.
