Merle C. Maceachern

MacEachern, Merle C., age 88, of Bayhead, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2018, at the Willow Lodge, Tatamagouche. Born May 4, 1929, he was the son of the late Jamsie and Emma (Roberts) MacEachern. In Merle’s early years while living in Hamilton, he was employed at Stelco Steel. As well as a home contractor, he had fond memories with Ken and Everott Kennedy working at Wallace Fisheries, and lobster boat building. He was a fine craftsman, building grandfather clocks and other furniture. He was proud of the replica of the Roberts’ farmhouse, and the boat build in his shop. Merle is survived by son Daniel (Betty); grand/great grand-children: Denise (Mike), Cole, Mason; Jason, Camden, Teagan, Ellissa; Stephanie, Craig, Genna; sister, Murial Drake; nieces and nephews; special friend, Clara Barron. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Lorna (Lynds); son Austin; brothers Lloyd, David, Sandy; sister Janie. There will no service at Merle’s request. Family burial at later date.
