Marion Elizabeth Tucker

TUCKER, Marion Elizabeth Marion Elizabeth Tucker-85, North River, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday morning, December 19, 2019, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Central North River, she was the daughter of the late Hartley and Beth (MacRae) MacCallum. Marion was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. She worked at Charm Diamond Centres for 27 years and retired in 2004. She was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan and never missed watching one of their games and enjoyed RVing with family and friends. Above all, she loved her family dearly and took a keen interest in her grandchildren and their endeavours. Marion is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank; children, Melanie (Terry) McNutt, Elmsdale; Philip (Debbie) Tucker, Valley; grandchildren, Matthew McNutt (fiancée, Joni Mattatall), Michael McNutt, Colton McNutt, Chad Tucker, Dylan Tucker. Special thanks are extended to Mom’s special friend, Bernice Rowe and also to Dr. Donald Rowe, Dr. Cortney Smith and the nursing staff on the Palliative Care Unit (CEHHC). All are invited to a celebration of Marion’s life that will be held 1-4 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2020, at North River Fire Hall, 74 Truro Road, North River. Private interment will be held at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in May 2020. If so desired, donations in Marion’s memory to Lung Association of Nova Scotia or Canadian Cancer Society are welcomed.
