Joanna Marie Naugle

NAUGLE, Joanne Marie Joanne Marie Naugle, 59, Truro, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Toronto, ON, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Ona (Legere) Sears. Joanne worked for Kmart and later for Zellers. After Zellers closed, she went to work with Sobeys, Truro as a cashier. She was well known for her laugh, smiles and affection, and was the life of a party when they got together with others. Joanne and Fred were avid campers and shared many of trips away together, also she had a great passion for bingo. She also loved to sing Karaoke especially the old-time rock and roll. She is survived by her husband of 12 years and also her partner for 32 years, Frederick ‘Fred’; son, Chris of Truro; daughter, Lisa Talbot (Travis) of North River; brothers, Owen Sears and Steven (Sharon) Sears, both of Mississauga, ON; first cousins, Cathy and Bob Lake of Valley, Bonnie and Vince Robin of Central Onslow, Ron and Karen Hoeg of Ontario; special friends from Sobeys and Zellers. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Irene Flynn. A Celebration of Joanne’s Life was held on Saturday, October 5 from 1-4 p.m. in the Douglas Street Recreational Centre, 40 Douglas St., Truro. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro. Donations in memory may be made to Diabetes Canada or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
