James "Jim" William Peppard

Age 81, Truro, formerly of Great Village, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2018 at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in Great Village, he was a son of the late Matthew and Louise (Rose) Peppard. Jim was always devoted to his family and leaves behind his loving wife, Blanche; son, Sterling (Paula) and their children, Matt; Thomas; Stevi; Jacolbi; son, Jim (Szu) and their children, Hannah; Tiffany; daughter, Cynthia (Aaron) and their children, Dale; Daniel; brother, Ken (Dianne); sister, Ruth; sister-in-law, Marie. He was predeceased by his brother, Jack; sister, Marjorie. Jim worked all across Canada and was the happiest when he was in the cab of an eighteen-wheeler. He was a long-time member of Saint James United Church. James would help anyone, and all knew he was a true Newfie at heart. Funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 72, Great Village, Reverend Dan Gunn officiating. Interment in Mahon Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
