Hugh Alexander Murray

MURRAY, Hugh Hughie Alexander Hugh (Hughie) Alexander Murray passed away January 10th, 2020 in Dartmouth, NS. He was born in Pictou May 31st, 1953 to Daniel Fraser Murray and Inez Florence (Copp). He grew up in The Falls, NS and graduated from Tatamagouche High School in 1971. For many years Hugh worked as a lineman for N.S. Power, later working in commercial construction on bridges and roofs. He spent much of his life in the Truro area and retired in Dartmouth. Hughie was predeceased by his parents and survived by his sister, Margie Bernasconi (Bill) Truro; daughter, Tara Murray (Mike Farrar) in Alberta and son, Colin Murray (Kate) in Ontario; three grandchildren, Olivia, Gray, and Koen; along with several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Hugh was an artistically talented woodcarver, enjoyed nature and spending time at his camp in Nuttby Mountain. No funeral by request. An informal memorial will be confirmed for the end of July 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to your favorite charity.
