Everill Murray Goff – 89, Truro, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, following a brief illness. Born in Milford Station, he was the son of the late John and Hazel (Wright) Goff. He was predeceased by his sister, Helen Martha in teenage years. Following grade school in Milford, Everill attended Colchester County Academy and Success Business College located in Truro. Upon graduation he became employed by Brookfield Creamery Limited and received training in a variety of company assignments. He transferred to Moncton as branch manager in 1960 and resided with family in Riverview, New Brunswick. In 1975, along with family, he returned to Truro with Scotsburn-Brookfield in a management role before retiring in 1989. He is survived by his wife, Doris (Whidden); sons, Murray (Wendy Lockhart), Moncton, New Brunswick; Douglas (Michelle Secord), Guelph, Ontario; granddaughters, Allison and Lindsay; grandsons, John and Drew. He was a long-time member of Truro Golden K Club, where he was recently awarded an honorary life membership. His community involvement also included membership in Truro Kiwanis Club, Phoenix Lodge, IOOF and Boy Scouts of Canada. He was honoured by Scouts Canada in 2010 with an appreciation certificate for 65 years of service in various levels of Scouting. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., today, Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Saint Andrews United Church, 55 King Street, Truro, Reverend Boyd Vincent officiating. Reception will follow in the church hall. Private family interment in Gays River United Church Cemetery. Family flowers only.
