Ethel Blanche Peppard
Age– 71, Truro, formerly of Great Village, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2019 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Little Hearts Ease, but grew up in Clarenville, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Jemima Drodge. Blanche was a devoted mother and wife and leaves behind her son, Sterling (Paula) and their children, Matt; Thomas; Stevi; Jacolbi; son, Jimmy (Szu) and their children, Hannah; Tiffany; daughter, Cynthia (Aaron) and their children, Dale; Daniel; siblings, Eva; Doris (Jer); Shirley (Gerry); Pearl (Wayne); Bernice; Rowena; Brenda; Marcie (Charles); Nina (Edgar); Bonnie; Lorna (Robert); Armine (Vera); Don (Elaine); sisters-in-law, Ruth; Marie; brothers-in-law, Ken (Diane); Darryl; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband James “Jim”; sisters, Mary; Wavey; brothers-in-law, Lindsay; Rod. Blanche attended St. James United Church and sang in the choir for many years. She was always happiest in her kitchen or flower garden. She will be remembered by all for her caring and giving heart and also her amazing will to survive. Blanche touched the hearts of everyone she encountered and had a way of showing each person that they were important to her. She will be forever missed. Funeral service was held 2 pm Tuesday, February 5, 2018, at Royal Canadian Legion, Great Village, Reverend Dan Gunn officiating. Interment in Mahon Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
