Doris Irene Phillips

PHILLIPS, Doris Irene – 89, Truro, passed away suddenly and peacefully on Monday afternoon, June 11, 2018, at MacLeod House, Hilden. Born in Lunenburg, she was a daughter of the late John and Irene (Keddy) Berringer. Doris graduated from Lunenburg Academy and worked for National Sea Products. She was a proud Lunenburg girl and attended the Presbyterian church while living there and after moving to Truro, became a member of St. John’s Anglican Church. Doris is survived by her son, Darrin (Nicole) Phillips; niece, Paula Berringer, Bridgewater. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Lee Phillips; brothers, Lawrence Berringer, Everet (Beulah) Berringer. A private graveside interment service will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg, The Reverend Lori Ramsey officiating. If so desired, donations in Doris’ memory to Salvation Army, Truro Corps, SPCA Colchester Branch or Colchester East Hants Health Centre Foundation are welcomed.
