Donald Allan Roode

Roode, Donald Allan “Joe”, 60, of Truro passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Donald Murray and Elizabeth "Betty" Rose (Stewart) Roode. Joe owned and operated Hilden Alternator in Hilden for several years. The family wishes to extend special thanks to nephew Kenny. He is survived by his son Daniel King (Lindsay) of Hilden; granddaughter Myla; brothers, Richard, Roger, Leo (Wendy), Peter (Kelly); sisters, Carol (Fred), Maxine (Kenny), Jackie (Pete), Linda; companion Wendy and son Chad; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Raymond; sisters, Brenda and Debbie. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. No visitation or funeral service by family request. Interment will be at a later date in Watson Cemetery, Truro. If so desired, donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
