UPPER ONSLOW, N.S. — Lumber scattered along Highway 102 in Upper Onslow Tuesday caused a multi-vehicle crash.
Mounties fielded a call about the accident between exits 14 and 14A at 12:37 p.m.
"In total, five vehicles were damaged. The collision occurred when several pieces of eight-foot-long 4"x 4" lumber fell from a vehicle and were scattered on the highway, resulting in drivers attempting to avoid them," said an RCMP news release.
"Several people were transported to hospital by EHS with non-life-threatening injuries. Volunteers from Onslow Belmont Fire Brigade assisted at the scene."
Mounties are looking for help identifying the driver of the vehicle that lost the lumber. "Anyone who has information, including the description of the vehicle, the plate number, or the identity of the driver, is requested to contact Colchester District RCMP at 902-893-6820."
