TRURO, N.S. — Iconic rapper Vanilla Ice is coming to Truro.

The American artist and first famous white rapper will be appearing at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre (RECC) on June 1 as the headliner for the “hugely successful” 90s’ House Party 2019 tour.

Truro is the only stop in Nova Scotia for the tour, which RECC manager Matt Moore said has become one of the most sought-after live events with sold out arenas worldwide with its rotating lineup of the 90’s’ most iconic acts. Vanilla Ice will be joined in Truro by All 4 One and Rob Base, with each performing hits defining pre-millennial rap, hip hop and R&B such as Ice Ice Baby, Play that Funky Music, I Swear, It Takes Two, and more.

“We wanted to offer something fun and different to create a night of nostalgia that will take people back to a time in their lives that they really enjoyed,” Moore said, in a news release.

“The 90’s were an incredible era for music and I have no doubt that the fashions, performers and audience alike are going to be fresh.

The 90’s House Party show at the RECC is for those 19 years and older, with tickets starting at $59.75 plus taxes/fees.

Tickets go on sale March 23 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre Box Office, at any TicketPro outlet, online at ticketpro.ca or by phone at 1-888-311-9090.
