The tuition rates of most programs at the Nova Scotia Community College will go up about $100 each year for the next three years.
The three per cent annual increase will “offset program delivery costs and support the delivery of balanced budgets,” NSCC said in a news release.
Full-time core tuition rates, at $3,315 in 2018-2019, will reach $3,620 in 2021-2022. Advanced diploma tuition rates will reach $5,540 in comparison to $5,075 in 2018-2019 and international students’ tuition rates, $10,700 in 2018-2019, will go up to $11,690 in 2021-2022.
“As Nova Scotia’s community college, with campuses in communities across the province, we continue to work to keep our commitment to offer quality programming that is accessible and affordable,” Don Bureaux, NSCC president, said in the release.
Programs offered outside the standard tuition fee structure, such as health information management, heavy equipment operator and aviation programs, will not have a tuition increase.
The adult learning and English for academic purposes programs, supported by the province, will continue to be offered to students at no cost.
