TRURO, N.S. — There was the threat of rain, but all things considered, it’s been a pretty good day for Truro’s Canada Day celebrations at the downtown Civic Square.
Fun activities for kids, lots of food and great entertainment are the order of the day and there’s been a good crowd on hand since things got underway.
The entertainment continues into the evening with John Muirhead scheduled to go on stage this afternoon, the Cobequid Dance Academy performing 7:45 to 8 p.m., and Joel Plaskett Emergency staging a free concert from 8 to 9:30 p.m., rain or shine.
The day will wrap up with a fireworks presentation at 10 p.m., contingent on weather conditions being suitable.
