TRURO, NS
Michael Anthony Chatfield, 25, of Truro, is facing charges of break and enter, uttering threats, assault, forcible confinement, breaching court orders and possessing a controlled substance (marijuana) following an incident at a Truro home.
Police were called around 5:35 a.m. on Thursday (March 22), and when they arrived at the residence they were told that a man had forced his way into the house, assaulted his girlfriend and forced her to drive him to an undisclosed location.
Chatfield was arrested four hours after this incident, and remanded to appear in Truro Provincial Court Monday morning for a show cause hearing.
Along with the recent charges, he had two warrants for his arrest from previous incidents.
