TRURO, N.S.

A 20-year-old male was apprehended by police following a break-in at the Truro Centre on the Esplanade.

The incident occurred at 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Truro police responded to a call of a break and enter at Coopers Cabin. When they arrived, they found the business had been broken into and a fire had been set inside.

The male suspect, who is a Truro resident, was arrested nearby.

Police were keeping the suspect in custody, pending a decision on whether he should be held for court or released.

The business did not sustain significant damage from the fire and the investigation continues
