TRURO, N.S. — TRURO, N.S. – Traditionally, Truro residents are known for turning out in force to mark the annual Remembrance Day ceremony.
And Monday was no exception.
Throngs of people congregated around the town cenotaph at Truro’s Civic Square to pay respect to those who made the ultimate sacrifice and to show support for those who served and those who continue to serve today.
The crowd overflowed and lined the streets adjacent to the square and elevated entranceways to the public library and Truro police station were packed with onlookers hoping to get a vantage point from which to watch proceedings.
