RCMP are asking anyone with information on a break and enter where several items were stolen and a small dog was left out in the cold to contact them.

On Nov.15, 2018, a man from Forties, Lunenburg County, reported that collectibles, tools and ATVs were taken from his home.

He said that while he isn't often away from home, he was out between 10:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. that day.

It appeared as if someone entered the house by prying open a bedroom window. A signed baseball, card collections, comic book collections, paintings, a Nikon digital camera, a laptop and a sleep apnea machine were among the items stolen

A small dog that was inside the home, was left outside but was not harmed.

Tools and two ATVs - one 2009 black Can-am Outlander with Nova Scotia licence plate FB 281 and one 2014 green Yamaha Grizzly with Nova Scotia licence plate HD786- were taken from the garage. Several plastic lobster boxes, which are believed to have been used to transport the stolen items from the home, were also taken.

The home owner's German shepherd was left in the garage and was also not harmed.

Neighbours saw lights on in the victim's home around 3:15 p.m., and at 4:15 p.m. they saw the two ATVs being driven off the property by two riders wearing helmets and camouflage gear.

Anyone who has information about this incident is asked to contact Lunenburg District RCMP at 902-275-3583. Tto remain anonymous call Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers toll free at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submit a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca, or use the P3 Tips App.
