Rosemount brand cooked diced chicken meat has been recalled due to possible Listeria contamination.
Affected products are in a 4.54 kg package with UPC code 2 06 20263 12454 7 and a pack date of 01/21/19.
The recall was triggered Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) findings during an investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak.
Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make people sick. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk. In severe cases of illness, people may die.
