Teens arrested for robbery at Lower Sackville NSLC

Three teenagers were arrested after RCMP were called to a robbery in progress at an NSLC store in Lower Sackville Thursday evening.

Police were called to the store in the Donwsview Mall around 6 p.m. on Nov. 8. Someone had entered the store, wearing a mask, and tried to steal liquor. There was an altercation between the person, a store employee and a customer. The masked person he he had a firearm, but the employee and customer detained him until police arrived. No firearm was found.

A 16-year-old suspect was taken into custody inside the store, and two other teens were arrested outside the store.

A 16-year-old youth has been charged with robbery, wearing a mask while committing an indictable offence, and assault with a weapon.

A 13 -year -old youth, from Lower Sackville, is being charged with robbery, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.

The third youth was released without charges.
