Motorcyclist charged with impaired driving after colliding with van near Enfield

Booze and motorcycles don’t mix.

Mounties have charged a 46-year-old Wellington man with impaired driving after he collided with a van Sunday around 5:30 p.m. on Highway 2 near Enfield. Nobody was injured, but police noticed the man was impaired and got him to blow into a breathalyzer.

“He failed the test, was arrested and taken to Enfield RCMP detachment for breath testing by an approved instrument. His blood alcohol level was found to be twice the legal limit,” said an RCMP news release.

The man is slated to appear June 19 in Dartmouth provincial court.
