A motorcyclist has died in a single-vehicle collision on Highway 14 in Chester.
According to a police news release, Lunenburg District RCMP were alerted to the crash at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Police, EHS and fire personnel attended to the scene but the lone rider did not survive.
RCMP spokeswoman Cpl. Lisa Crotreau said on Sunday afternoon that the victim was a 56-year-old man from Upper Tantallon.
She said the crash is still under investigation and could not speak to road conditions or any suspected cause as of Sunday.
Highway 14 was closed for several hours between Exit 8 and Chester Grant Road before re-opening.
