Halifax Regional Police have charged a man after another man was attacked with a weapon in Dartmouth late Thursday night.

At 11:57 p.m., officers found an injured man in the 0-100 block of Pinecrest Drive, police said in a news release.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries from an edged weapon.

Shortly after, police arrested a man for assault with a weapon. The two men know each other.

Tyler Phillip Dewolfe, 31 of Dartmouth, has been charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and breach of probation. He is to appear in Dartmouth provincial court later today.
