A 23-year-old man faces charges, including attempted murder, after an altercation in Halifax on Wednesday.
Halifax Regional Police said officers responded to a disturbance in the 2100 block of Barrington Street at about 2:40 p.m. involving a group of people who knew each other.
Officers learned a man had assaulted a 31-year-old-man and stabbed a 36-year-old woman.
The suspect fled the scene but was found a short distance away. The woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Duwan Glasgow of Halifax appeared in court Thursday on charges of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, weapons possession and two counts of breaching release conditions.
